Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Raiders found their guy under center in Daniels: B+.

The Raiders spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

The Jones pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In the 7th pick they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick98 Rnd3 Christian Mahogany
Steal is underselling it; Christian Mahogany at slot 98 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick104 Rnd4 Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson in Round 4, Pick 4 is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick126 Rnd4 Will Shipley
Will Shipley in pick 126 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick182 Rnd6 Joe Milton III
Joe Milton III at the Round 6 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick186 Rnd6 Roger Rosengarten
They let Roger Rosengarten come to them and pounced at pick No. 186. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick190 Rnd6 Curtis Jacobs
Curtis Jacobs slipping to the 190th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick231 Rnd7 Christian Jones
Taking Christian Jones in No. 231 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
