Draft Grade — Raiders

A franchise passer in Mendoza headlines a B weekend for the Raiders. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
McCoy at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Fernando Mendoza
In the 1st overall pick they get their quarterback of the future at fair value.
Pick36
Rnd2
Arvell Reese
Somehow Arvell Reese was still sitting there in pick No. 36, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick67
Rnd3
Jermod McCoy
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Jermod McCoy in the Round 3 slot, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
