Good, not great, for the Ravens: B-.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Ravens spent pick No. 213 on Dayon Hayes, a name the board had a full 80 spots lower. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

The Allen value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Nick Emmanwori
In the Round 1 slot they get a ballhawk on the back end, outstanding value to boot. Need was not the driver here.
Pick59 Rnd2 Maxwell Hairston
A big swing on Maxwell Hairston at pick 59, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick91 Rnd3 Savion Williams
No drama and no debate, Savion Williams went about where he belonged in No. 91. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick128 Rnd4 Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe at Round 4, Pick 27 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
Pick136 Rnd4 Ajani Cornelius
They barely believed it either: Ajani Cornelius still on the board at slot 136. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick176 Rnd5 Andres Borregales
Andres Borregales at the 176th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick178 Rnd5 JJ Pegues
They paid sticker price for JJ Pegues in Round 5, Pick 39, and that is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick185 Rnd6 Tyler Cooper
A slide stopped in pick No. 185, with Tyler Cooper worth more than the price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick205 Rnd6 LeQuint Allen
A running back of that caliber at the 205th pick is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick213 Rnd6 Dayon Hayes
Dayon Hayes in the Round 6 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick245 Rnd7 Andrew Armstrong
Value said wait; Andrew Armstrong in pick 245 says they were not listening. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
