The Patriots got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D+. Nobody else had Jalen McLeod anywhere near pick 127. The Patriots did, by 82 spots, and that gap is the whole story.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Etienne falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
