The Steelers cashed the board's mistake on Hancock: B.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jordan Hancock, the No. 199 name on the board, stolen at the 231st pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tetairoa McMillan at pick 21. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick52 Rnd2 Jonah Savaiinaea
Jonah Savaiinaea in the 52nd overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick83 Rnd3 Zy Alexander
The board had Zy Alexander higher than the Round 3 slot, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick122 Rnd4 Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers at Round 4, Pick 21 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick163 Rnd5 Nick Nash
You do not let a wide receiver like Nick Nash reach pick No. 163 and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick225 Rnd7 Jack Kiser
Somehow Jack Kiser was still sitting there in the 225th pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. The roster fit checks out.
Pick231 Rnd7 Jordan Hancock
Taking Jordan Hancock in slot 231 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick247 Rnd7 Cody Lindenberg
Cody Lindenberg at No. 247 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
