Somebody in the Round 5 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Lions sat still while Justice Haynes, the No. 114 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They will need White to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
