Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Jets spent the Round 7 slot on Anthony Gould, a name most had 40 spots down the list. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
