The war room fell hard for Patrick Payton, and it showed at the Round 5 slot: 78 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. That Slaughter pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
