The Patriots did not so much draft Roderick Kearney as overpay for him, 44 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Spending an early pick on cornerback with interior defensive lineman, safety and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The Singleton Jr. value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
