Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall

FutureA+
Mendoza is the plan now, and the Falcons grade out a D+. Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Falcons, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Put together, it is a D+.
The whole projection now runs through Fernando Mendoza; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Every board in the league had White lower, and that gap is the story. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back.
The Falcons clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Fernando Mendoza
In No. 1 they get the face of the franchise. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick36
Rnd2
Anthony Hill Jr.
Anthony Hill Jr. at the Round 2 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick49
Rnd2
Max Klare
Max Klare in slot 49 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick67
Rnd3
Skyler Bell
A reach on Skyler Bell in the 67th pick; the board had better options right there. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick114
Rnd4
Bryce Lance
A straight-up fair deal on Bryce Lance at pick 114, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick180
Rnd6
Rayshaun Benny
By-the-book stuff, Rayshaun Benny at Round 6, Pick 1 squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick187
Rnd6
Miller Moss
A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Miller Moss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick194
Rnd6
DJ Harvey
DJ Harvey at pick No. 194 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick195
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III in the Round 6 slot is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick197
Rnd6
Jordan White
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jordan White this early at pick 197. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick231
Rnd7
Jalen Catalon
They took Jalen Catalon at par in slot 231, which is nothing to complain about. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
