The board owed the Patriots one, and it paid up: Kade Pieper, the No. 45 name on the board, sitting there at No. 94 like a gift left on the doorstep. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The Craver reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
