Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Ravens spent pick No. 213 on Jalen Travis, a name the board had a full 67 spots lower. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The Williams pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

A tidy bit of business in pick No. 136, where Jacob Parrish graded well above the range. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

DJ Giddens is a better player than Round 5, Pick 37 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
