Draft Grade — Bears
Overall D
ValueB NeedB- TradesF FutureA
Quarterback settled, Williams in the fold, and a D for the Bears.

The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

Caleb Williams gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Keegan left real value on the table behind him.

Getting Beebe where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Caleb Williams
In the Round 1 slot they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
Pick9 Rnd1 Malik Nabers
In the 9th pick they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick75 Rnd3 Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens in Round 3, Pick 11 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick103 Rnd4 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe in pick No. 103 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick111 Rnd4 Jarvis Brownlee Jr.
No edge and no loss on Jarvis Brownlee Jr. in pick 111; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick123 Rnd4 Beaux Limmer
Beaux Limmer in the 123rd overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick143 Rnd5 Trevor Keegan
Trevor Keegan in slot 143 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick220 Rnd6 Nick Gargiulo
Nick Gargiulo at No. 220 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
