Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB-
The Bills won the night they stopped Spears-Jennings from sliding. Grade: B-. The rest of the league will want that one back. Robert Spears-Jennings tumbling to the Bills in the 171st pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The cost of the Wease Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Kenneth Grant
In the 30th pick they get a load in the middle, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick56
Rnd2
Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas at the 56th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick62
Rnd2
Donovan Ezeiruaku
They paid up for Donovan Ezeiruaku at the Round 2 slot when waiting would have done the job. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick108
Rnd4
Smael Mondon Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Smael Mondon Jr. at Round 4, Pick 7, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick131
Rnd4
Darius Alexander
By-the-book stuff, Darius Alexander at pick No. 131 squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick171
Rnd5
Robert Spears-Jennings
You do not let a safety like Robert Spears-Jennings reach pick 171 and blink. They did not. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick175
Rnd5
Xavier Scott
A slide stopped in No. 175, with Xavier Scott worth more than the price. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick179
Rnd6
Quincy Riley
They took Quincy Riley at par in slot 179, which is nothing to complain about. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick206
Rnd6
KeAndre Lambert-Smith
A tidy bit of business in pick No. 206, where KeAndre Lambert-Smith graded well above the range. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick208
Rnd6
Theo Wease Jr.
They liked Theo Wease Jr. enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 6, Pick 30. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
