FOXY KNOXY DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B+
ValueB
NeedB
TradesA
FutureB
The Seahawks won the night they stopped Henderson from sliding. Grade: B+. Somebody in pick 164 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Seahawks sat still while TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 61 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
The Jennings reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Kenneth Grant
In the 25th pick they get a load in the middle. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick57
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker in pick 57 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick62
Rnd2
Kamari Ramsey
They barely believed it either: Kamari Ramsey still on the board at Round 2, Pick 30. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick97
Rnd3
Colston Loveland
Circle this one: Colston Loveland at slot 97 is a fall that decides a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick132
Rnd4
Jake Majors
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jake Majors in the Round 4 slot, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick136
Rnd4
Deontae Lawson
The board fumbled Deontae Lawson all the way to No. 136, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick140
Rnd5
Oronde Gadsden II
Value with a capital V on Oronde Gadsden II in pick No. 140, a genuine coup. It fills a real need, too.
Pick164
Rnd5
TreVeyon Henderson
Steal is underselling it; TreVeyon Henderson at the 164th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick165
Rnd5
Antwane Wells Jr.
Antwane Wells Jr. at the Round 5 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick173
Rnd5
Davison Igbinosun
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Davison Igbinosun well ahead of where he belonged. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick183
Rnd6
Kevin Jennings
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Kevin Jennings. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick210
Rnd6
Ar'maj Reed-Adams
Ar'maj Reed-Adams at the 210th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick234
Rnd7
Quincy Riley
They paid sticker price for Quincy Riley in pick 234, and that is fine. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
