It is the swing that defines the weekend: Solomon Tuliaupupu in the 184th pick, a good 129 spots before the room expected him. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

So much rides on Fernando Mendoza that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The Slaughter pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

It is not that Rodriguez is a bad player; it is that the Raiders had louder needs to answer first. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
