The Demani Richardson pick is the one that will follow the Packers into the fall. They took him 54 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

Getting Beebe where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
