The Patriots did not so much draft Solomon Tuliaupupu as overpay for him, 90 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Arnold falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
