Overall
B
ValueB-
NeedB-
TradesA
FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Buccaneers: B. Every other box got a look, but interior defensive lineman did not. The Buccaneers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
However the rest shakes out, Castro at that price is a win they earned. If Membou pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick13
Rnd1
Harold Perkins Jr.
No drama and no debate, Harold Perkins Jr. went about where he belonged in the Round 1 slot. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick59
Rnd2
Barion Brown
They took Barion Brown at par in No. 59, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
Pick77
Rnd3
Oscar Delp
Oscar Delp in the 77th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick91
Rnd3
Sebastian Castro
They read the board right and Sebastian Castro was the payoff at Round 3, Pick 27. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick109
Rnd4
Jason Marshall Jr.
Jason Marshall Jr. slipping to pick No. 109 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick123
Rnd4
Derrick Moore
Derrick Moore in the 123rd pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick141
Rnd5
Jaeden Roberts
A slide stopped in pick 141, with Jaeden Roberts worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick205
Rnd7
Armand Membou
Armand Membou in slot 205 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
