Grand theft in pick 236: the Seahawks steal Smith and grade out a B. Somebody in No. 236 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Seahawks sat still while Brashard Smith, the No. 116 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
Cook has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Quantity was the play, for better or worse.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
