Draft Grade — Browns
Overall

FutureB-
The Browns cashed the board's mistake on Gordon II: D. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Browns spent the 214th pick on Deion Burks, a name most had 56 spots down the list. The math is unkind, and the D follows.
However the rest shakes out, Gordon II at that price is a win they earned. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Abdul Carter
In pick 2 they get juice off the edge at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick33
Rnd2
Derrick Harmon
Good price on Derrick Harmon in No. 33, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It fills a real need, too.
Pick50
Rnd2
Kaleb Johnson
Nice patience on Kaleb Johnson, who had no business lasting to Round 2, Pick 18. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick94
Rnd3
Denzel Burke
Denzel Burke in pick No. 94 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick102
Rnd4
Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba in the 102nd pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick177
Rnd6
Ricky White III
They reached a country mile for Ricky White III at pick No. 177, and the board is aghast. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick214
Rnd6
Deion Burks
They left a pile of value on the table to take Deion Burks this early at Round 6, Pick 39. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick256
Rnd7
Ollie Gordon II
Ollie Gordon II at the Round 7 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
