Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Browns: B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Browns spent Round 6, Pick 30 on Kurtis Rourke, a name most had 173 spots down the list. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Tampa. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick54 Rnd2 Jonathon Brooks
Jonathon Brooks at pick 54 is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick92 Rnd3 T.J. Tampa
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, T.J. Tampa in Round 3, Pick 29, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick105 Rnd4 Cade Stover
Cade Stover at the 105th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
Pick155 Rnd5 Edefuan Ulofoshio
A real head-scratcher, Edefuan Ulofoshio in pick No. 155 is miles ahead of his ranking. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick204 Rnd6 De'Corian Clark
They reached a country mile for De'Corian Clark at No. 204, and the board is aghast. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick205 Rnd6 Kurtis Rourke
A wild overpay on Kurtis Rourke in the 205th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick243 Rnd7 Garret Greenfield
Garret Greenfield at the Round 7 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
