If confidence were a draft strategy, the Chiefs would have aced it. M.J. Devonshire at slot 158 is 24 spots clear of where he belonged.

The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
