The Jaguars cashed the board's mistake on Ponds: B+.

You could see the war room lean forward. D'Angelo Ponds at Round 3, Pick 18 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Jaguars paired the rookies with proven help, Tyler Smith leading the way.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
