Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Bills kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Bills never got to the one that mattered most. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

On value alone, Hill makes the weekend a net positive. If Peebles pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Nick Emmanwori
In pick No. 30 they get a rangy last line of defense at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick56 Rnd2 Alfred Collins
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Alfred Collins. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick62 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
Good price on Jayden Higgins in pick 62, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick109 Rnd4 Denzel Burke
They paid sticker price for Denzel Burke in No. 109, and that is fine. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick132 Rnd4 Aeneas Peebles
They jumped the gun on Aeneas Peebles, taking him earlier than his grade liked. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick169 Rnd5 Jaydon Blue
Jaydon Blue at the 169th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick170 Rnd5 Jack Kiser
They paid a round early for Jack Kiser in slot 170, more than the board wanted. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick173 Rnd5 Tommi Hill
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tommi Hill at Round 5, Pick 35 is the proof. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick177 Rnd6 Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius in the Round 6 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick206 Rnd6 Luke Elzinga
A straight-up fair deal on Luke Elzinga at Round 6, Pick 30, value and slot in agreement. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
