Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the 49ers were there to profit. Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 151 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 7, Pick 10.

Reaching for Pegues left real value on the table behind him. The Myles Bryant deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

In slot 25 they get a premier pass rusher. A real need, handled.

A swing that ignored the value entirely, Mason Taylor well ahead of where he belonged. It fills a real need, too.
