Somebody took the Bears to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.

Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. The Bears indulged a want in Taylor-Demerson while a need in interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots stayed open.

Reaching for Keegan left real value on the table behind him.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
