Draft Grade — Titans
Overall D-
ValueB NeedB- TradesF FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Titans to a D-.

Somebody took the Titans to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. If Robinson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, wide receiver very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Travis Hunter
In pick No. 1 they get a ballhawk on the outside. Need was not the driver here.
Pick35 Rnd2 Jack Sawyer
No edge and no loss on Jack Sawyer in pick 35; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick98 Rnd3 Quinn Ewers
They did well to land Quinn Ewers in No. 98, just ahead of his grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick103 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
They jumped the gun on Anthony Belton, taking him earlier than his grade liked. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick120 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
Joshua Farmer in Round 4, Pick 18 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick141 Rnd5 Brashard Smith
Brashard Smith at the 141st pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick167 Rnd5 Ben Sauls
A tidy little value on Ben Sauls in the Round 5 slot, a step better than break-even. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick178 Rnd6 Que Robinson
A reach for Que Robinson in the 178th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick188 Rnd6 Tyler Cooper
Tyler Cooper at pick No. 188 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
