The Raiders spent the pick that matters most on Cam Ward, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

They banked enough surplus on Knight Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins. If Buchanan pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
