The 49ers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Cam Skattebo, the No. 110 name on the board, in the 185th pick. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

They will need Griffith to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Somehow Kevin Winston Jr. was still sitting there in Round 4, Pick 36, and they pounced on premier safety value. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.

They barely believed it either: Cam Skattebo still on the board at No. 185. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
