Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for McCoy: B+. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Packers watched Bru McCoy slide 31 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. With quarterback, tight end and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
