The Broncos lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

They have staked the next five years on J.J. McCarthy, which is the only story that really matters here. The Barner reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Goncalves falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
