The Chargers cashed the board's mistake on Benefield: B. You could see the war room lean forward. Ty Benefield at Round 5, Pick 37 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Reaching for Umeozulu left real value on the table behind him.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
