Caldwell should have been long gone. The Steelers pounced, and earned a B-.

Somebody in the Round 6 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Steelers sat still while Jeff Caldwell, the No. 189 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The Bowry pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
