A costly weekend of dealing drags the Falcons to a D-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Falcons did exactly that with Akeem Dent in slot 187.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Getting Thrash where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
