The 49ers won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B-.

Whoever sat across the table from the 49ers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. Every board in the league had Hurst lower, and that gap is the story. On value alone, Burke makes the weekend a net positive.

The 49ers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

Denzel Boston at pick 38 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

They did well to land Chase Bisontis in the 59th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

Value said wait; Ted Hurst in the 70th pick says they were not listening. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick127 Rnd4 Trey Zuhn III
They paid sticker price for Trey Zuhn III in the Round 4 slot, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.

They read the board right and Oscar Delp was the payoff at pick No. 145. It patches a soft spot without any drama.

Travis Burke in No. 186 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
