Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall
B
ValueB-

FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Eagles: B. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Eagles would have aced it. Eyabi Okie-Anoma at slot 240 is 25 spots clear of where he belonged. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Cowing steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick22
Rnd1
Terrion Arnold
In the 22nd overall pick they get an island corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick50
Rnd2
Malachi Corley
Malachi Corley at No. 50 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick63
Rnd2
Javon Bullard
Javon Bullard at slot 63 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick97
Rnd3
Trey Benson
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Trey Benson. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick99
Rnd3
Dominick Puni
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Dominick Puni at the Round 3 slot is the proof. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick125
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
A straight-up fair deal on Cedric Gray at pick 125, value and slot in agreement. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick159
Rnd5
Jaheim Bell
Jaheim Bell in Round 5, Pick 23 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick160
Rnd5
Jacob Cowing
Somehow Jacob Cowing was still sitting there in the 160th overall pick, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick170
Rnd5
Jordan Travis
Jordan Travis slipping to the 170th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The roster fit checks out.
Pick171
Rnd5
Trevor Keegan
Value with a capital V on Trevor Keegan in No. 171, a genuine coup. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick178
Rnd6
Ty'Ron Hopper
No edge and no loss on Ty'Ron Hopper in the Round 6 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick189
Rnd6
Johnny Dixon
A slide stopped in slot 189, with Johnny Dixon worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick240
Rnd7
Eyabi Okie-Anoma
Eyabi Okie-Anoma in pick 240 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick249
Rnd7
Solomon Byrd
A real head-scratcher, Solomon Byrd in pick No. 249 is miles ahead of his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
