The Patriots went off the board in a big way for Alex Birchmeier, 25 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Getting Haulcy where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
