The Chiefs kept it disciplined and banked a B.

Nobody else had Chris McClellan anywhere near the Round 3 slot. The Chiefs did, by 33 spots, and that gap is the whole story. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. However the rest shakes out, Love at that price is a win they earned. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
