Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall

FutureB-
The Eagles lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story. There is reaching, and then there is Jalen Travis at the Round 7 slot. The Eagles jumped the board by 58 and dared it to prove them wrong. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Landing Arroyo that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. On the needs board they went 8 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Nick Emmanwori
In the 32nd pick they get a rangy last line of defense at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Pick64
Rnd2
Xavier Watts
Xavier Watts at pick 64 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick90
Rnd3
Charles Grant
By-the-book stuff, Charles Grant at the Round 3 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick96
Rnd3
Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo at slot 96 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick101
Rnd3
Jordan Phillips
No edge and no loss on Jordan Phillips in pick No. 101; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick123
Rnd4
Jake Majors
Jake Majors in Round 4, Pick 21 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick130
Rnd4
Mello Dotson
Mello Dotson at the 130th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick134
Rnd4
O'Donnell Fortune
They paid up for O'Donnell Fortune at slot 134 when waiting would have done the job. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick151
Rnd5
Tyler Shough
They read the board right and Tyler Shough was the payoff at Round 5, Pick 13. It fills a real need, too.
Pick161
Rnd5
Ty Robinson
Ty Robinson in pick 161 is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick164
Rnd5
Que Robinson
Value said wait; Que Robinson in the 164th overall pick says they were not listening. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick165
Rnd5
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
They went early on Dont'e Thornton Jr. in pick No. 165, and the value did not follow. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick168
Rnd5
Jalen McLeod
Jalen McLeod at No. 168 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick229
Rnd7
Jalen Travis
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jalen Travis this early at the Round 7 slot. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick232
Rnd7
Addison West
Taking Addison West in pick No. 232 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
