Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall D-
ValueB- NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Eagles got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-.

The Jalen McLeod selection is the head-turner. The Eagles reached 55 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Shough at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Emeka Egbuka
In the 32nd overall pick they get a matchup problem out wide at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick63 Rnd2 Harold Fannin Jr.
A slide stopped in the Round 2 slot, with Harold Fannin Jr. worth more than the price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick64 Rnd2 Demetrius Knight Jr.
Demetrius Knight Jr. in pick No. 64 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick96 Rnd3 Malachi Moore
Malachi Moore at No. 96 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It fills a real need, too.
Pick129 Rnd4 Jalen McLeod
They talked themselves into Jalen McLeod at slot 129, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick144 Rnd5 Vernon Broughton
A clean, defensible pick in pick 144 with a little surplus value in Vernon Broughton. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick162 Rnd5 Tyler Shough
The board fumbled Tyler Shough all the way to slot 162, and they scooped it up. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick165 Rnd5 Ben Sauls
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Ben Sauls at pick No. 165 is the proof. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick166 Rnd5 Chase Lundt
A tidy little value on Chase Lundt in the 166th overall pick, a step better than break-even. The roster fit checks out.
Pick169 Rnd5 Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant in No. 169 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick182 Rnd6 Hayden Conner
They reached a country mile for Hayden Conner at Round 6, Pick 4, and the board is aghast. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
