Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall D
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Eagles to a D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Eagles shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The cost of the Zvada reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Pregnon steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Denzel Boston
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a true top target at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54 Rnd2 Emmanuel Pregnon
Emmanuel Pregnon at No. 54 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. The roster fit checks out.
Pick62 Rnd2 Lee Hunter
Lee Hunter in pick 62 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick68 Rnd3 Eli Stowers
Eli Stowers in the 68th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick98 Rnd3 Zakee Wheatley
A tidy bit of business in slot 98, where Zakee Wheatley graded well above the range. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick122 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
Bryce Lance at the 122nd overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick130 Rnd4 Kage Casey
They jumped the gun on Kage Casey, taking him earlier than his grade liked. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick137 Rnd4 Treydan Stukes
They liked Treydan Stukes enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 4 slot. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick139 Rnd5 Logan Jones
Logan Jones slid further than he should have, and the 139th overall pick is lovely value for the offensive lineman. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick144 Rnd5 Kevin Coleman Jr.
Kevin Coleman Jr. in slot 144 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick151 Rnd5 Aaron Graves
A reach for Aaron Graves in pick No. 151; a little patience would have been rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick168 Rnd5 Terion Stewart
Terion Stewart at Round 5, Pick 30 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It fills a real need, too.
Pick179 Rnd5 Quintayvious Hutchins
Quintayvious Hutchins at the 179th pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick201 Rnd6 Antonio Kite
A reach on Antonio Kite in the Round 6 slot; the board had better options right there. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick220 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III in pick 220 is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick248 Rnd7 Dominic Zvada
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Dominic Zvada. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
