Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall
D

FutureB-
The Eagles got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D. Somebody took the Eagles to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On value alone, Hill Jr. makes the weekend a net positive. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Adding Marvin Mims Jr. by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Kenyon Sadiq
In the 30th pick they get a red-zone target to build around at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick54
Rnd2
Anthony Hill Jr.
They let Anthony Hill Jr. come to them and pounced at pick No. 54. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick62
Rnd2
Michael Taaffe
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Michael Taaffe in the Round 2 slot. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick68
Rnd3
Lee Hunter
A reasonable price with a little left over, Lee Hunter in pick 68. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick98
Rnd3
D'Angelo Ponds
D'Angelo Ponds at Round 3, Pick 34 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick122
Rnd4
Chase Bisontis
Chase Bisontis slipping to No. 122 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick137
Rnd4
Max Iheanachor
No edge and no loss on Max Iheanachor in the 137th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick151
Rnd5
Davison Igbinosun
Good price on Davison Igbinosun in slot 151, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick179
Rnd5
Eric McAlister
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Eric McAlister at No. 179 is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick201
Rnd6
Jalon Daniels
Jalon Daniels at slot 201 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
