The phones were a trap the Eagles kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They banked enough surplus on Cisse to cover a lot of smaller sins. On the needs board they went 8 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Quantity was the play, for better or worse.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
