Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall D-
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureC
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Eagles to a D-.

Nobody else had Caden Curry anywhere near pick No. 98. The Eagles did, by 34 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback. They banked enough surplus on McNeil-Warren to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
Carnell Tate at pick No. 14 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick54 Rnd2 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren slid further than he should have, and the 54th overall pick is lovely value for the safety. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick68 Rnd3 Eli Stowers
A quiet steal in the Round 3 slot: Eli Stowers for less than the market said. The roster fit checks out.
Pick98 Rnd3 Caden Curry
This one needs a full-page explanation: Caden Curry in the 98th pick, miles early. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick173 Rnd5 Beau Stephens
Value with a capital V on Beau Stephens in No. 173, a genuine coup. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick178 Rnd5 Keagen Trost
They took Keagen Trost at par in Round 5, Pick 38, which is nothing to complain about. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick197 Rnd6 Cole Payton
Cole Payton in the Round 6 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
