Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B-

More right than wrong for the Eagles, and a B- to prove it.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Dominic Zvada; the Eagles did not wait, grabbing him 40 spots ahead at the 201st overall pick.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. However the rest shakes out, Ponds at that price is a win they earned.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Kenyon Sadiq
In the Round 1 slot they get a red-zone target to build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick54 Rnd2 Chris Bell
Chris Bell at slot 54 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick68 Rnd3 D'Angelo Ponds
They will replay D'Angelo Ponds at No. 68 for years; that is how good the value is. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick98 Rnd3 Chase Bisontis
Chase Bisontis at the 98th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick122 Rnd4 Chris McClellan
Chris McClellan in Round 4, Pick 22 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick137 Rnd4 Skyler Gill-Howard
By-the-book stuff, Skyler Gill-Howard at pick No. 137 squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick151 Rnd5 Earnest Greene III
Value said wait; Earnest Greene III in the 151st overall pick says they were not listening. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick179 Rnd5 Bud Clark
Bud Clark at pick 179 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick201 Rnd6 Dominic Zvada
Dominic Zvada at pick No. 201 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
