This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jordan James, the No. 116 name on the board, stolen at the 180th pick. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. If Crenshaw-Dickson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. On the needs board they went 9 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Quantity was the play, for better or worse.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
