The Eagles looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Dominic Zvada at pick No. 201 regardless, 40 picks early. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The McNeil-Warren steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
