Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B-.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Bills shredded theirs for Isaac Guerendo. He came off 69 spots early, and the room will hear about it. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

Jones falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Brian Thomas Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a matchup problem out wide. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick60 Rnd2 Adisa Isaac
They took Adisa Isaac at par in pick No. 60, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
Pick99 Rnd3 Ricky Pearsall
The board fumbled Ricky Pearsall all the way to the Round 3 slot, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick129 Rnd4 Max Melton
Max Melton is a better player than slot 129 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick159 Rnd5 Khristian Boyd
They paid sticker price for Khristian Boyd in pick 159, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick162 Rnd5 LaDarius Henderson
LaDarius Henderson at No. 162 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick197 Rnd6 Kitan Oladapo
Kitan Oladapo in slot 197 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick202 Rnd6 Jordan Magee
A premium they did not need to pay, Jordan Magee a notch or two before his time. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick206 Rnd6 Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo at pick 206 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick246 Rnd7 Christian Jones
Taking Christian Jones in the 246th pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
