The Patriots lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C+ in the wash.

The Gillotte reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They banked enough surplus on Brooks to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
